Hat is Tasseled!

After 2 hours spent weaving in and trimming the ends and seaming the seams…

Cute Tassel Hat is Tasseled!

What I learned from this hat:

Knitting fair-isle flat = many wasted hours of weaving & trimming ends like these

To avoid the above –  ALWAYS KNIT FAIR-ISLE IN THE ROUND!

The pattern called for it to be knit flat, but just because a pattern SAYS you should do it one way, doesn’t mean you have to!  If I showed you what the side seams look like, you would follow my advice – the pattern does not line up very neatly and the seams are kind of “lumpy”.  But it’s done and I still think it looks cute.

Now it’s time to find just the right wee one to wear it!

I think I know JUST the right little head for this little hat!

  1. Great job – I admire anyone who can do this type of knitting. It’s wonderful!
