WAIT – Make that only 12 Projects Left!

Yes, it’s finished!

And it’s not even midnight  just 9:22pm EST and the child’s gansey moves to FO (finished object) status.

Here’s the front…

And the back…

This was my very first gansey.  Here are my thoughts on this type of pattern…

  • Knitting the gansey in the round is great – no seaming to do at the end.
  • Side seam stitches really do help define the sides, as if there were actual seams.
  • Underarm gussets are great for allowing extra give – perfect for kids clothes.

The pattern came from the book, Knitting Ganseys by Beth Brown-Reinsel (Amazon-link).  She does a great job of breaking down the construction of the garments.

With a few hours left this evening, time to tackle the next WiP – my second SNAIL MITTEN.
