It’s 7am EST, my January Knitting Marathon…

…is underway!

Well, it actually started at exactly 7:11am, so I will be ending tomorrow at 9:23 instead of 9:12.  Is that important???

I think I’ll wait another 15 or 16 hours to answer that!  🙂

The starting lineup…

7:11am – started on the Cable/Lace Sweater from Filati (Magazine 49, Design #26)

9:13am – first break (I went a little longer because… well I just started!  I snapped a picture, warmed-up coffee, had a little bite to eat)

Only 7 rows done (since I had to do a pattern check and modify one of the cable charts – Murphy’s Law at work), but at least I’ve made progress and it’s looking great!

9:22am – I’m going to continue with this sweater because I need to see way more visual progress before I jump to another project!

10:46am – Time to re-group!

After a bit of frustration – I had to rip out all 6 rows I just completed because I read 1 of the 4 cable charts wrong 😦

I realize I need to…

Keep Calm and Knit On

11:05am – I am off to Downtown Knits in Apex, where I will continue my marathon with some knitting friends!

I am bringing the Easy Lacy Rib Scarf and the Cable-Cross Vest since they are both less brain-taxing than the Cable/Lace Sweater with 4 Cable Charts!

  1. Nice selection of projects, looks like you won’t be getting bored! I woke up at 4 am and couldn’t get back to sleep so I got a little knitting done too 🙂

    1. Thank you both for stopping by and checking my progress – Good Luck to you in your early morning knitting! I can’t think of a better thing to do than knit if I was up at 4am!

  2. Nice progress. And, I really like that cable pattern you are working on the red sweater.
