My yarn is talking to me..

…is this normal???

OK, so it didn’t REALLY say these words out loud, but the tussah silk DK yarn that lay partially knit into my Winter Windows Scarf, seemed to be saying:  “you’ve made a mistake”.   That’s odd I thought to myself, as I stared at the yarn.  But the seed was planted and the more I glanced at the yarn, the more certain I was that this yarn didn’t belong in a “winter windows scarf”.  Somewhere there was a better match for it.

And I think I knew the answer.

I had been searching Ravelry and happened upon a striped scarf pattern by Marji LaFreniere.  Her Reversible Stripes Scarf  had grabbed my attention.  Yes, THIS was the pattern that was a match for my 2 skeins of tussah silk dk.

And as I cast-on and started knitting, I could swear the yarn whispered… perfect.

Listen closely… is your yarn trying to tell you something?
