Bucket List

In no particular order (but before I kick the bucket) I would LIKE to…

  • Take an advanced French class and become fluent in French
  • Be able to do 10 pull-ups in a row (I’m at one-half)
  • Attend the Chicago Cubs spring training camp
  • Visit all of the major league baseball fields in the US (at 8 out of 30)
  • Teach kids to knit/crochet (working on it!)
  • Organize our photos (currently in several large boxes) into albums
  • Go on a Dude Ranch vacation to Arizona
  • Contribute in a significant way to Prevent Child Abuse program in NC
  • Read War & Peace (completed in 2009!)
  • Completely organize our attic (before the show “Hoarders” finds us) – PRIORITY ITEM for 2015
  • Learn how to paint
  • Paint canvases of all the cities in which we’ve lived
  • Create an organized and efficient office – almost there!
  • Start a successful internet business
  • Design a line of clothes for children
  • See the Grand Canyon with the family
  • Take 3 weeks to trek across Europe with our family
  • Run a third Chicago Marathon
  • Read the bible cover to cover (On Exodus 7:15)
  • Go on a lighthouse’s of the East Coast trip
  • Learn furniture-making at a workshop in Western N.Carolina
  • Create a history book with my Mom & Dad (in-progress)
  • Create a history book with DH’s Mom & Dad (in-progress)
  • Create a totally awesome master closet (half-way there)
  • Take gourmet cooking classes
  • Find a woman’s shelter at which to volunteer regularly
  • Publish a book (started writing Feb 28, 2012)
  • Earn the Master Knitter designation
  • Take our family back to St Thomas for a vacation
  • Section hike the Appalachian Trail with Pete (hiked 23 miles in 2 days)
  • Go on ski trip out west with Pete and the boys
  • Take classes in design
  • Design sports accessories
  • Travel to Paris
  • Visit Quebec in the summer
  • Travel to Greece with the family
  • Go on a Mediterranean cruise with Pete and the boys
  • Visit the children at Duke Medical center on a monthly basis
  • Build a mountain home
  • Ride a horse in a horse race
  • Bike along the East Coast
  • Create a design studio in our home
  • Study abroad
  • Visit Martha’s Vineyard
  • Fill our back garage wall with license plates from our travels (16 up)
  • Earn my MBA
  • Live 3 months in another country
  • Visit every state in the USA
  • See all three boys earn their college degrees
  • Learn to play the guitar
  • Learn to juggle (started – it’s harder than I thought 🙂)
  • Accumulate and read 100 classic books (List of Books)
  • Live in Canada for an entire summer
  • Drive from coast to coast
  • Go to a hockey game at every NHL rink (at 3 out of 30)

I will have to be very creative with my time and money to check-off even a fraction of my list, but great challenges are what make life so exciting!!!

    I can help you accomplish two of your goals:

    1.) Let’s work on pictures again this summer

    2.) I’d be glad to take a look at your office and give you my input on organization.

      I would love to get together again to work on our pictures – I had a great time last year and that may be just the break I will need to get away from the knitting needles for awhile!
