Clear your Schedule, Gather your WiPs…

…and get ready to KNIT, KNIT, KNIT!

This month’s Marathon (May 23rd – 24th) is right around the corner.

Are you ready to Join me in knitting for 26.2 hrs???

Schedule some time off from your normal routine and get some of those Works-in-Progress moved into the finished column!  If you’re like me, you probably have several projects from which to choose!

Here’s how I plan my 26.2 hours…

  • Knit for 60-90 minutes (or so – this will vary depending on the day!)
  • Take 10-15 minutes to: snap a picture, post my progress, exercise a bit, eat or take care of other necessary business.   🙂
  • Post throughout the day.  Please check-in and reply to one of the posts with how YOU are doing – I LOVE HEARING FROM EVERYONE!
  • I do plan for sleep (~ 6 hours or so) – one month my alarm didn’t go off and I slept for over 7 hours (slacker!!!)

All in all it’s 26.2 hours of mostly continuous knitting!

The next day I re-cap my progress…  Check out April’s Marathon Results!

The countdown is on for our May Marathon!

  1. Tsk, tsk, tsk … need I remind you of the word that comes to mind reading some of your posts? “Intervention!” 🙂 Just teasing … I won’t join you in this marathon BUT I have sorted out some of my yarns in my considerable stash and prepared “project” bags that are now in my queue! Happy knitting!!!!

    1. Oh thank you! You’ll be happy (or maybe surprised) to know that I won’t be knitting any bobble bracelets 🙂

Have you posted pictures of your organized knitting? I get inspired by others’ organizing efforts. Maybe project bags are in my future!

  2. Hiya! I’m going to try and join you, but having an operation 21 so it will be as part of my recovery timw so i might make it over 3 days! Good luck! Can’t wait to get some progress on my blue coccoon top, my kandinsky blanket or my never ending cardigan! Zx

    1. Awesome – so glad you will be joining me!

  3. Well, it’s almost here! I know that I won’t be able to knit the entire time – there are things like eating, sleeping, and life. But I hope I’ll get some finished objects out of it.

    1. I am hoping you add LOTS to the finished column. I am getting ready to start in 2 minutes!!!
